Arachnid Biobedding is a unique blend of organic and inorganic ingredients, trace elements, and beneficial fungi that serves to jump start the bioactive environment. Arachnid BioBedding is suitable for arid or humid enclosures (simply adjust watering) and arboreal, terrestrial and burrowing arachnids (simply adjust substrate depth).

It's also great at growing plants and sustaining a healthy springtail population!

How to Prep: Mix contents of bag thoroughly. Place a 1.5-2 inch layer of Arachnid BioBedding in your enclosure (use less if plants are not being utilized, and more for burrowing species). Add dechlorinated or RO water until BioBedding sticks together when squeezed, but no water runs out.

Recommended Animals: Arachnid BioBedding is appropriate for all ages, sizes, and species of arachnids, including:

Tarantulas
True spiders
Scorpions
Whip Scorpions
Vinegaroons
Recommended Plants: Terrestrial plants can be planted directly into BioBedding. Arachnid BioBedding is a great substrate for most tropical and desert plants, but make sure to match the needs of your plants to those of your pets! Arachnid Biobedding should be at least 1.5-2 inches deep if used with plants.

Suitable for Misted Setups: Yes. Arachnid BioBedding does not require a drainage layer if used with light or hand misting. Be sure not to mist your arachnid directly.

Care: Arachnid BioBedding is a naturalistic vivarium substrate and is meant to house springtails! Stir the surface of Arachnid BioBedding every 1-2 months with a fork, or if waste is visible, taking care not to disturb any burrows. Burying waste allows springtails to process it quicker. Change the substrate when it begins to break down, which is typically after several years.
